Chapter challenge Descriptive Passage

This week for chapter challenge I did the descriptive Passage. What I found tricky was getting lots of detail into the story well keeping it short and tidy. What I found easy was all the pincushion in the story.

Hi my name is Dribble and I'm a green turtle. All I do is swim around in my little bowl that I have (sometimes the cool water feels nice on my shell). My mum doesn't like me but Peter does. Peter is very protective of me
(because I’m his pet).
Peter likes me because I'm not very big and fast. I’m easy to handle. I fit nicely in his hands. But the bad thing is you can't take a turtle for a walk or snuggle with a turtle. These are some of the foods that I eat earthworms, grubs, snails, beetles and caterpillars, fruit, berries, mushrooms and flowers and my favourite food is red berries. I feel quite lonely in my small bowl when the family is gone somewhere (especially when Peter is gone). My favourite thing to do is sit on my rock in my bowl. My least favourite thing to do is to get eaten by a kid.

  1. Ryan, I am very impressed by this descriptive passage on Dribble. You have thought hard about what life is like for Dribble being Peter's pet and what things he likes and dislikes. Amazing work!
